Learn Spanish by landing tricks
Rad Gato teaches Latin American Spanish through a skateboarding arcade game: 100 levels, about 6,000 words and phrases recorded by Carlos Garza, a Mexican voice actor, and six difficulty levels from your first words to the way people really talk.
The tour
You ride through Mexico City, Teotihuacán, the Selva Maya, Tulum, Hierve el Agua, Antigua Guatemala, Lake Atitlán, Cartagena, Medellín, San Juan, Havana, Buenos Aires, Iguazú Falls, Pamplona, Barcelona, Santiago, the Atacama, Machu Picchu, Sacsayhuamán, the Colca Canyon, La Paz, the Salar de Uyuni and the Galápagos. Every four levels is one city: a words level, a phrases level built from those words, a full-sentence level, and a half-pipe speed round that recaps the city before it stamps your passport.
The six rungs
Principiante, Viajero, Intermedio, Avanzado, El Jefe, Fluente. Fluente unlocks only when you beat the fifth rung, and teaches regional slang, proverbs, wordplay and fast speech.
Why a game works
Every answer is a decision made at speed, with a real voice saying the word as you land it. Words you miss come back on a spaced-repetition schedule; words you know get harder, first read, then heard alone. There is no streak shaming and no ads.
